Of course! We love to travel. HJPhotoCo is based on Long Island, NY. We have shot weddings in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York City, Upstate NY and the list keeps growing!

Yes! We will assist you with prompts and guided poses. It’s important to break this down and understand what we mean by this style and how it will benefit you whether you’re shy or totally comfortable in front of a camera! For us as photographers, documentary style means that we do not interfere with moments that should happen naturally. When it comes to family sessions, group shots or couples portraits at a wedding, event or session - we will guide you on specific ways to stand and some fun and easy prompts to help you look more natural. To achieve the candid look we all know and love, we never stop snapping shots! We take the photos in between the prompting as well as the guided shots to create that candid and natural flow that tells your story effortlessly!

We work closely with videographer Alexa San Roman and would be happy to refer you! We have worked as a team many times in the past. Alexa does phenomenal work that compliments the look and feel of our galleries. Videography is a great addition to a package!

We take a 10% non-refundable retainer to hold your event/wedding date! The balance is due the day of your event. We are willing to take payment up to one week prior to your date. We accept payment via Zelle, Venmo, Credit & Debit Card via Venmo, and of course, cash.

Once your galleries are complete, we send your galleries via Google Drive links. With these links you are able to download and share and all of your photos! All of our wedding packages come with a USB flash drive keepsake!

The 10% non- refundable retainer is taken to secure us as your photographers for your date. This non-refundable retainer is taken to off set the loss of business. Rescheduling: We would love to still work with you if we are available for your new date! However, if your rescheduling its always possible that we are booked for the date your rescheduling to. Maintaining open communication always helps. We will do our best to accommodate you!

We tend to overshoot so we don’t miss a moment. This often means that we have batches of photos that are the same. We choose the best of each moment, but we typically deliver the majority of everything we catch!

We do not deliver RAW or unedited photos. We imagine that if you are choosing HJPhotoCo for your big event or wedding day, that your hiring us because our style and artistic nature resonated with you! RAW files are not a full representation of our work as photographers.

We do very mild skin retouching and try to remove background distractions like exit signs or garbage cans to the best of our ability. As documentary style photographers, our philosophy is to tell the story of your day as it was. This includes you! We do not do body alterations.

We work as candid-documentary style photographers so we like to capture the day as it unfolds naturally. This helps us get into a creative mindset and perform at our best. However, we will assist by guiding/posing your group shots and help your pose for your couples portraits. We do like to have an itinerary of the day to help us keep your timeline on track!

You sure do! We send roughly 10-20 sneak peeks within 48 hours after your wedding!

Of course there are things in life out of our control, such as injury, medical emergencies, death, etc. The benefit of working with HJPhotoCo is that with with two lead photographers, this ensures that at least one of us will still be present and capable of capturing your day. If for any reason we are met with extenuating circumstances and the two of us can not make it, we would do our absolute best to find you a replacement. Last resort, we would discuss cancellation and a refund based on services rendered.
